Lecturer in Teacher Training (Otley)


Trish holds a BA (Hons) in Language Studies (Essex), Cert Ed in Lifelong Learning (APU), Level 5 Certificate in Continuing Education (Teaching Literacy & ESOL) (Essex), a Post Graduate Certificate in Adult Literacy, Numeracy & ESOL (Lancaster), an MSc in Digital Edcuation (Edinburgh), and QTLS. Since graduating Trish has taught a range of subjects including Literacy, Numeracy, ICT, English Language & Literature, and Teacher Training programmes at levels from pre-entry to postgraduate. She has a solid grounding in teaching learners with SpLDs. Trish moved into HE from FE in 2008. Research has included the use of iPads in the HE classroom; the use of text-speak in written texts, and the use of blogs as reflective tools. Research interests include gaming for education, videos in education, and critical theory & the internet.

Tegan holds a BA (Hons) History from the University of Essex, PGCE (M) Secondary History from the University of East Anglia and a Masters in Education with Distinction from Anglia Ruskin University. She completed her induction year with Essex County Council to gain Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Areas of interest specific to teacher training: Behaviour management and inclusion/Widening Participation. Research interests: Ethnographic research and collaborative ethnography, creative and reflective writing, recording and analysing social experience, Widening Participation and themes of inclusion. Lucy holds QTLS and has a background in the post compulsory sector as a Media and Film specialist. Her particular interest is trainee professional practice and professional development, as well as mentoring and coaching for success. Qualifications: BA (Hons) English and American Literature and Film Studies University of Kent, PGCE Post Compulsory Education from Oxford Brookes University, MA in Film Studies from University of Exeter.
