Teaching delivery is enhanced through the use of guest speakers from the local community as well as further afield and have included: Phil Race, Suffolk Inter-faith Resource (SIFRE), MIND mental health charity, Suffolk LGBT, Suffolk NUT and many others.
Additionally field-trips are arranged to other educational establishments such as: BETT in London, alternative education settings, Prison education centres, an Outstanding school, and a Pupil Referral Unit to name some examples.
As part of the course you will attend a conference at the University of Huddersfield, with an associated assessment task. Attendance is a required part of the course. Here you will network with other trainee teachers, from a variety of other training providers and go to sessions designed for your subject specialism.
Our employment rate following course completion has been consistently high for a number of years.
We deliver QTLS workshops before and after graduation and have a supporting tutor for Professional Formation who engages with trainees during this process.
We offer a range of support options for our graduate teachers including tutor support for professional formation (QTLS), CPD workshops, and careers advice. Graduates are welcome to get in touch with us at any time to ask questions, ask advice, and, of course, share your successes!
